Do I need to find someone “famous” to get an accurate reading?
Absolutely not. As a matter of fact, one of the worst readings I’ve EVER gotten was from a well known, “celebrity” psychic and it cost me well over $1000! (including travel) One of my favorite readings? Was done by phone and cost $18 and totally blew me away. While there are in fact some famous readers who ARE in fact, incredibly good…….there are many local intuitives or mediums and psychics who work by phone alone, who are very skilled as well. (and much less expensive to boot)
How can I find a local psychic to talk to?
Good question! One of my favorite strategies is to join local meet ups or community organizations that specialize in new age thought, or psychical research. Some of my closest friends in the industry have come from simply getting out and getting involved…and of course, it’s a great way to get inexpensive readings as well. (especially once you establish friendships with others in the community)
What about psychic fairs and events like that?
I’ve had mixed success at these events…..but you can find really good readers if you try a few of these and they are organized by reputable people. Avoid some of the more tourist trap set ups that many resorts have if you are serious about getting a reading for important life decisions. (as these are usually set up for entertainment purposes only…and I’ve rarely found the readings to be good)
Another decent idea?
Spiritualist churches are another great resource for quality psychics, mediums and intuitives who are practicing their craft professionally.
In my city (close to Miami) there are several very active spiritualist churches with a few well known intuitives, and I’ve had a few great readings for a nominal cost over the years. (mostly at fundraisers and special events the Church puts on every year)
Of course there are plenty of great phone psychics and mediums as well, and lots of good networks and services that offer readings throughout the day, on demand! This can be an easy and affordable solution when you need instant answers to pressing problems, and often, in MY experience, you’ll be blown away at the quality (and quantity) of talented intuitive’s available to help!

Insight, Information and Illumination
Honestly? In my view, this is the PRIMARY reason most people go see a psychic, and probably the BIGGEST benefit for most of us. (ironically, for me it’s a close second!) But if you want to know what you’re future holds, or what your purpose may be, or if you’ve got a destiny, a psychic reading is often an easy way to find out fast. And yes….some people are skeptical. I was as well…….but after close to 20 years of amazing readings, life changing predictions and discovering my OWN authentic purpose in the process, I can honestly say psychic advice has totally changed my life!
A BIG Picture Perspective
For me…..this is the BIGGEST benefit I’ve gotten from psychic conversations. Yes, I’ve discovered who my soulmate IS…and equally as important, who she was NOT…:-) Yes, I’ve learned things about loved ones I’ve lost, where I’ve been and where I’m going alike. But for me, all of this simply opens me up to the BIG picture, which is that life is far deeper, richer and more robust than that we see with our eyes. There is much more meaning and much more that matters….and psychics have taught me THIS lesson more than all else. (and this is a beautiful benefit I am most thankful for as well..:-)

The biggest problem I see most people experience when getting a reading is this: They simply SAY too much. They reveal all of their fears, worries and concerns BEFORE the reading even really "begins". The truth is, the fastest way to pollute an accurate reading is by telling the intuitive far more than they need to give you a good reading. And when you do this, it can actually be totally counterproductive……as you are filling THEIR heads with "stuff".
And I can tell you after close to 20 years of experiences with psychics, even the BEST readers will get "off kilter" if you start a reading with a brain dump of all of your problems, fears and worries before they even have a chance to say hello..:-)

Or said differently, some psychics like ONLY "yes or no" answers. Others like (and do very well with) a wee bit of elaboration from you. But you shouldn’t have to say TOO much…and to be totally honest with you, a good psychic reading is usually one where you say a lot LESS than the psychic themselves. Remember….a good psychic reading should NOT feel like psychotherapy where you are doing all of the talking..:-)
It should be a fun, engaging and OPEN exchange of information and energy….but where for the MOST part, you are listening and they are illuminating the insight or information that they see!
Lastly….if you go in person, avoid too much body language "tells" as well. The truth is, many cold readers use body language as a dead simple way to pick up clues they don’t need to be psychic to "see". For this reason, I personally prefer phone readings….or just make sure you are conscious about your body language, especially if you are really expressive with your mannerisms like me!
