What does a psychic see?
Honestly? It depends on the psychic! A medium, for example…..is going to be much more likely to share information about spiritual matters, especially as it pertains to loved ones you’ve lost. A tarot reader, life astrologer or someone who specializes in more generic whole life readings is going to be far more likely to talk about where you are, where you’ve been, and where you’re going! (and they are far more likely to get this information using symbols and interpretation, rather than more traditional “paranormal” planes of information)
Other types of psychics and clairvoyants use other tools and techniques far too numerous to outline here, but include areas like psychometry (reading the energy of an object you may own) , aura readings (picking up your emotional energy either by phone or in person) and even things like communicating with spirit guides or guardian angels. (a more controversial practice, but one that I’ve become convinced through personal experience is very real!)
Should I listen to what a psychic says 100%, or is there “wiggle room” to make my OWN decisions instead?
A good question! The truth is, I believe that a reading should be like a signpost in the road, and one that you should certainly stop and read. (and heed, if it resonates with you) But, everyone is on their own unique journey…and needs to make important decisions for themselves, even if they end up being bad ones, or things you may regret later. It’s much like being a parent – sometimes you want to help your child avoid every major mistake in the book, and yet, somewhere deep down inside, we ALL realize that many of the most important lessons are those we learn on our own. (even when they hurt a bit along the way)
The bottom line?
Learning to trust that the universe has a plan and purpose for your life is a BIG breakthrough for millions of people, every year. Here are the super simple steps I use to find psychics are GOOD, honest and accurate, and most importantly, right for my needs as well.
- Start by looking for well rated and reviewed readers. (but don’t obsess about reading reviews)
- Set a small budget, and don’t go over it. (but DON’T waste your time looking for 100% free readings as well)
- Set a TIME budget as well. (I prefer readings that are 10-40 minutes max for the first time I speak to a psychic)
- Prepare a short list of questions. I like to write down 5 KEY things I really want to know….and if I can get 3 answers I can really use to those 5 key questions, I’m usually very happy!
Lastly……as above, avoid trying to find free, or completely cost free readings. The advertisements are certainly out there, and there ARE a few psychic services that do offer 5 or 7 minute “test” readings before you have to pay, but by and large the offers and ads for cost free psychics are typically a scam. (and all of us have been taken by this at one time or another on our journey)
Remember, there are MANY legitimate, honest, and amazingly accurate psychic services out there today. You don’t need to travel a long distance, or spend a fortune to get a life changing reading, and you can prove this to yourself TODAY if you’re ready!

Aren’t readings done in person, one on one SUPERIOR to those you’d get on the phone?
Absolutely not, no! As a matter of fact, there are a whole assortment of reasons why many people believe that phone readings are actually MORE accurate, more insightful and more powerful than those you’d get by seeing a psychic in person.
For example…..
Cold reading, or the process whereby the reader picks up information from you that is NOT psychic in origin….yet may appear to be, is FAR less likely on the phone, than it is in person. (no body language to read, no facial mannerisms, no clothing or personal appearance judgements, etc)
And on the phone……the client (or caller) tends to be FAR more comfortable, which leads to more rapport, and a lighter energy or aura for the psychic to access.
