Read the FINE print first! Most legitimately FREE readings are for a fixed time period only. For example, one of our favorite (and most recommended) psychic services offers 6 minutes for free…and thereafter, if you choose to continue, you have to pay. Other networks that we use and affiliate with will offer complimentary chat for a period of time too BEFORE you have to pay…..but they won’t let you abuse the privilege, and at some point, after PROOF is offered that they’re good, they’ll ask you to pay to continue.
Remember….NO authentic professional service is 100% free, and while you can get a great deal using this approach, don’t take advantage of their generosity. (which is why most services have a "cap" on how many free minutes they’ll offer you before they’ll hang up….or ask you to participate in a paid reading instead)
Do your DUE diligence before you call. Read reviews. Check out the intuitives. Read biographies if provided, and the testimonials of PREVIOUS callers and clients if provided. Remember….psychics have FANS…and if the network, or the intuitive you’ve picked does not have a history….your best bet is to stay away.
LASTLY….trust you gut and go with your OWN intuition! If you think a free offer seems suspect or suspicious…stay away! As a matter of fact, a good free service will have clear terms of service, clear contact information and a customer service policy that is NOT hard to find.

MY honest experience with free psychic services?
About 90% of it has been bad. The truth is, there are only a few services that legitimately offer free readings that are worthwhile, and they are ALWAYS a prelude to a paid reading thereafter. In other words, even the BEST and legitimate free readings want to sell you a premium reading afterwards, and usually use the impressive accuracy of their complimentary reading to do it.
How long should you expect the free part of the reading will last?
Good question! Different services do it different ways…but my PERSONAL network gives a standard 6 minute session at no cost, so you can get a feel for the reader, and the service. If you like it and are impressed? You can continue at the regular discounted rate. If you are NOT happy with what you’ve heard so far? You simply hang up and move on with your day.
The verdict?
Imagine being able to test ANY service for free before you have to pay them! A lawyer, or doctor, or auto mechanic. Most services don’t offer that sort of flexibility, but many psychic networks DO! And if you know which ones are worthwhile, a free reading can be informative, illuminating and quite enlightening, and a GREAT way to test the accuracy of the intuitive at the very same time…which is a WIN/WIN across the board!

Why? Because the truth is, for the most part…MORE searches are done by customers like you and I for FREE psychic readings than just about every other type of psychic service or offer, COMBINED! In other words, more of us want (and expect) a completely free reading to help us fix our problems, solve our "woes" and point us in the proper path than the smaller (and smarter..:-) minority who are ready, willing and able to PAY for solid psychic advice, counseling and authentic help.
And to be honest with you…that’s always sort of troubled me! Why? Because as someone who has written about psychic readings, research and phenomena for many years (almost 20) it astounds me that so many people don’t recognize, and respect genuine psychic’s for the unique professionals that they are, and more importantly, I think that so many "free" psychic services make the whole industry look bad to boot.
Don’t understand why? Let me explain a bit further below!
3 Reasons Why Free Readings Should Be Avoided:
1 – Free RARELY really means free!
Or said differently, unfortunately many of the free psychic services employ bait and switch style sales tactics that I don’t believe are fair, or honest. If you think about it, NO psychic service can accommodate free readings for long. So they use the allure of the word "free", and some underhanded methods of "roping" you in to the reading, and then use various up sell techniques to convert you into a paying customer. I simply find this is bad for the business overall, and much the way a lawyer, or doctor, or carpenter couldn’t get away with advertising for "free" only to push you to pay thereafter, (they’d get in trouble!)I don’t believe it’s the right thing in OUR industry as well.
2 – Free is almost NEVER Good!
The readings, in my experience, are not real. They are canned, scripted and not genuine. I know that people don’t want to hear that, but it’s true…and I’ve personally had just about every sort of psychic experience under the sun! (from free, to low cost to celebrity style readings that cost several thousand dollars as well!) The truth is, you wouldn’t go into your place of employment and do your job for nothing….and neither will any self respecting, authentic psychic, clairvoyant or medium either.
3 – Free feeds into skeptical stereotypes that make ALL of us look bad
And that includes the readers, and customers and clients alike. You NEVER hear too much bad stuff about the really highly paid, very skilled psychics who work for TV, or big time celebrities, or big Wall Street Moguls, either. (I was just reading about one who charges 10,000 per MONTH to be on retainer…and is endorsed by major Hollywood celebrities we all know)
What we DO hear negative stuff about, however…are the "fake" psychics who pretend to offer real readings, and instead, just feed into the stereotype that psychic are silly, and that there is no TRUTH behind the notion that real readers (and readings) are available to those of us who want them. (not true!)
If you TRULY want a quality psychic reading…..what you SHOULD do is pay a fair price for a real psychic who is guaranteed to be great!
You can of course go for a free reading that’s really bad…….or get a GREAT reading that is really good! (and for less money than it costs to see a movie for 2 on a saturday night..:-)
Can I get a psychic reading for free? And is a free psychic reading as good as one I would pay for? If you are anything like I used to be, price is PARAMOUNT when it comes to calling, or visiting a psychic, sensitive, medium or intuitive. And with today’s economic climate being about as bad as anything we’ve seen in dozens of years…more and more people are searching for FREE psychic advise to help them pick a path!
But this can be a pretty prickly path to pick……..
Why? Because most free psychics are NOT really free. They usually are free for an introductory period, (usually less than 5 minutes) and after that period expires….BINGO! You are "on the clock".
The other critical factor about free readings is…..
In my experience, they aren’t very good. As a matter of fact, I’ve had hundreds of readings over the years…and have paid the gamut from VERY inexpensive to much TOO expensive, too! And what I’ve found to be true, regardless of whether the reading was done by phone, in person, email or otherwise…..the FREE readings were usually not only bad, they were usually a scam! (and some of the most expensive "celebrity" style readings actually fall into the same trap….as the MOST expensive readings I’ve ever gotten have almost always been bad, bogus or downright disappointing)
The key thing to understand, is this….
Professional psychics are often good people, with big hearts, and AMAZING abilities. They also are running a business….and much like you and I go to work and are paid for our services, so too are they. And if they are offering readings for free…my first instinct is ALWAYS to ask why?
Why is this free? What is the "catch"? What shoe is going to drop, and when? With absolutely free readings….the shoe that drops is usually that the "free" part of the call never lasts long….and when it ends, you’re going to have to pay a hefty sum or the call is over. (and rarely….in my experiences, are the psychics, or the services that do this, worth the wait!)
And like all other "too good to be true" offers, so too are free psychic readings!
Unless you personally know the psychic, or have a personal connection, one way or another….you WILL have to pay..:-) If you truly value your time, AND value your money, in MY experience, your best bet is too simply find a psychic you really DO want to talk to, and pay a fair price! (for a REAL reading that WON’T have a "catch".)
The Bottom LIne?
I’ve had some of my best readings for under 25 dollars….and in today’s market, if you know where to look (and who to call) so TOO can you, without being disappointed by an offer that SOUNDED too good to be true, simply because it was!
Who else is looking online for free psychic advice? You are, right? I’ll admit it – I’ve searched for it too. But I want to tell you something…and I really want you to pay attention: Free psychic advice is rarely free..:-) As a matter of fact, in my experience, the WORST and most expensive psychic advice I’ve ever gotten has started off free.

Here is the thing about free readings: They usually are little more than "bait and switch" style offers that are designed to entice, or induce you into engaging with their readers before they "up sell" you higher priced services or offers.
Make no mistake, they WILL get on the phone with you, or chat with you for free. And after 3 or 4 minutes or so, the proverbial clock starts running…and the credit card you used to sign up, starts getting "dinged" an exorbitant rate for the conversation. And that’s the GOOD free services….the BAD ones are usually run by fly by night scam artists who aren’t psychic at all…..just intuitive enough to know that there are lots of "suckers" out there willing to pay for spells, curses and bad karma cleansing. Stay away at all costs!

Your best is ALWAYS calling a reputable, established network that charges a fair price, rather than hunting around for free. Some of you may not appreciate me saying this….but I will anyway: If you can’t afford a reading right now, simply wait until you can, rather than feeling the need to waste your time, energy and ultimately your income on free services that will eventually "get" you one way or the other.

I know this is going to hurt some feelings and step on some toes…but in general, it’s true. You get what you pay for…and a free reading is often being done by amateurs who need the practice, or good hearted, but decidedly UNPYSCHIC folks who just like to talk on the phone, chat or email..:-)

Okay….but how do free readings work anyway? Are there just really generous psychic intuitives out there who simply want to help?
