Want to hear something you may not believe? In 2 decades of psychic research, readings and writing on the psychic phenomena, I’ve had countless readings. Many of them really astonishingly good.
Many of them, REALLY bad! And the interesting thing is, when I go back and look at the difference between the 2, PRICE is rarely an important factor. In other words, I’ve had amazing readings which would fit anyone’s budget, and I’ve had readings that were so expensive only a handful of people could afford them. (some of these were "gifted" to me based on professional courtesy)
So what are my top tips for getting a GREAT psychic reading without blowing your budget?
Tip #1: Expand Your Horizons
Many people bring a psychic "prejudice" to their search for a reader that isn’t necessary or productive. For example, they see someone in a run down shop or a 3 line ad in their local shoppers guide and simply ASSUME that the reader is going to be a rip off, or a fraud.
While this CAN occasionally be true, I’ve gotten some of my best readings from the sorts of psychics MANY of my more "elitist" friends would pass by without a second glance. (and my very best in 20 years….from a psychic who had a booth SO small and in such a remote location that most people I know wouldn’t even have made the trip to begin with)
Tip #2: Get Prepared
This is especially important when speaking to psychics who charge in time increments. Many people have no idea what they are going to say, or ask….or have no real notion of what direction they’d like the reading to take. When you don’t have an idea of what you want to ask…..or the kind of questions you’d like addressed, it becomes very easy for an otherwise affordable reading to get VERY expensive…..really fast!
In other words, what you could ask, and have answered in 20 or 30 minutes and be VERY satisfied with the quality of the reading, others drag out for 45 or 60 minutes, simply because they didn’t get themselves organized in advance.
My recommendation is to take 5 minutes, and WITHOUT over thinking it….simply write down 5-10 key questions, concerns or central ideas you want addressed. Once the reading begins, just let the reader know the areas you want to focus, and if you feel things start to drift a bit into other areas you are NOT so interested in addressing, you simply move back to the next question on your list and bring things BACK into focus! (super easy….and to be honest with you, MOST psychics appreciate this as well!)

Okay….but aren’t the only psychics worth paying the celebrity ones? And they’ve got to be expensive, right?
Honestly? Right AND wrong! Yes, celebrity psychics can be tremendously expensive, and yes you can often wait weeks or months to get a reading. Years ago I waited almost 3 months got get a reading with a celebrity psychic that was not only super expensive, it was super disappointing as well. And since? I’ve gotten many very affordable readings, from “regular” online psychics who have not only been easy on my budget….but have absolutely blown me away with the level of insight, attention and illumination they have brought to my life.
Does that mean you should pick the cheapest readers out there? Is that a good plan to pick an online intuitive to get a reading?
Absolutely not. Many times you WILL get what you pay for, and I’ve had more than a few of those that have disappointed me as well. The key? Do a little bit of research, read real reviews and pick readers who have happy customers, are well rated and work for networks that are equally as well regarded. Doing 10 or 15 minutes of research can often be the difference between getting an amazing reading you’ll never forget…and having a very forgettable experience you don’t want to remember!
