How accurate is the information that emanates from a psychic reading? Should you base important decisions on what a psychic may say, or are you better off going with your own gut? What if some of what a psychic says is overwhelmingly accurate, while other information that he or she shares is not true at all?
Learning to filter the information that comes through during a psychic session is critically important.
Why?
Because the truth is, even the very best readers are going to get some things wrong. In my personal experience, a good reading will include lots of very specific information, and some tangential thoughts, opinions or stream of consciousness ideas that don’t apply at all.
Why does this happen?
It depends on who you ask. Some people believe that psychics are accessing information that is stored somewhere in a universal field, or database. (The famous clairvoyant Edgar Caycee called this the akashic records, and many other names for this field have been proposed) When a truly gifted sensitive is doing a reading, they often are getting such a stream of ideas of from this field, that even information that doesn’t apply to you is filtered through.
For example, I went to a small group reading done by a very well known “celebrity” medium a few months ago,and he described the process as akin to being underwater, and trying to have a conversation with one person who is standing in a group of 10 who are all talking at the same time. Learning what information is appropriate for the person getting the actual reading is NOT easy, and why so many psychics will often blurt out information that is wrong. (even while the remainder of the reading is right!)
The bottom line?
An honest medium, who has legitimate gifts, will tell you that they will rarely get it all right. As a caller, or client, you have a responsibility to filter the information that comes through, too….and to use your own insticints, intuition and intelligence to make the most of the experience as well!

Are famous psychics like John Edward, or George Anderson REAL, or are they simply making a good show of it all instead?
And what about telephone mediums, psychics or tarot readers? Are they worth calling, or destined to disappoint?

In a typical psychic reading, some of the information will make sense to you and some you won’t be sure about. Psychics have off days the same as everyone else and sometimes they might interpret something the wrong way. For example, a psychic reader might get a picture in her mind of her grandfather wearing an army uniform. She might say she is receiving a link from your grandfather instead of saying she is receiving a link about someone in the army. Most psychic readers say exactly what they hear, see or feel and then it is up to you to interpret what it means.
Is John Edward the psychic medium still on TV? If he isn’t……what happened? Did his show get canceled? Was he “de-bunked” like so many say…….or did the public interest just go away? The truth is, it seems like Edward himself decided that TV wasn’t the right format for the way he likes to do his readings, and over time…..it appears he balked at doing the sort of show that the studios preferred. (I’ve seen his say this on several occasions, including live and in person, and several other media outlets have reported similar stories)
Remember…..there are PLENTY of psychic shows on TV, so it’s not like interest is waning. AND of course, regardless of what you think about Edward, he is well thought to be the “Michael Jordan” of American mediums……simply because he really IS impressive when he does his thing.
(and NO he wasn’t debunked – there was a mainstream media story that was very unflattering about Edward a bunch of years ago, but it was pretty biased and mean spirited, and it was pretty clear that reporter was NOT a believer in anything psychic going in, and was going to write a story that supported that straight away. I’ve seen John Edward live, and he does NOT “cold read” – he may NOT be talking to the dead, but scamming people with guesses, or initials, or leading questions is NOT what’s happening either.

John Edward first spoke to a girl named Jenn who asked if the process is strenuous to the person trying to cross over? He said that they are connected to us by love and want to express things sometimes that don’t get through which might make them annoyed by the Psychic Medium, but it is not strenuous really.
Then Edward picked up on something about Jenn, he said that she has been getting visits through a dream state and that it is her mom who died from either breast cancer or lung cancer who passed away on a birthday or a holiday. Real psychic readings – are they out there?
How do you find a real psychic who won’t pull your chain, rip you off or simply tell you what they think you want to hear?
What are the signs a psychic is truly gifted, or is simply has a gift of gab, and can make you BELIEVE they are reading your future, rather than reaching for your wallet or pocketbook instead?
Here is the #1 thing I’ve learned about researching psychics, mediums, clairvoyants and intuitives over the last decade, both personally…..and professionally alike:
There ARE people who have legitimate psychic gifts. Period. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Because if they do, they simply haven’t explored the wild, wacky and wonderful world of genuine psychic readings like many of us have.
The BEST psychics work “blind”. What does that mean? It means they do their readings by phone, or physically separated from the person they are reading. Why? Because they DON’T want information “leakage”, or to accidently or inadvertently read your body language, or pick up and go with your reactions to what they offer.
Cold reading…..or the sort of sneaky stuff the skeptics want you to BELIEVE is easy to do, is really NOT easy at all. As a matter of fact, while some psychics can fake information pretty well, especially with exceptionally gullible clients, the real truth is……NO “smart” psychic client, customer or caller is going to be snookered by a cold reading session if they know what the signs are. (i.e. – if your whole reading consists of generalized statements that could apply
to anyone, you SHOULD be savvy enough to know you are being conned)
Of course there is MORE…….but the best advise is to get your own reading and make your OWN mind up. That’s the real proof….and anything short of that, is just sound and fury, signifying nothing..:-)
