Anyone who is involved in the psychic “industry” will admit that there are a lot of BAD, fake or made up psychics, mediums and clairvoyants working in the field. Often people think they are legimately psychic, or can speak to spirits, or communicate with the dead….only to really be guessing, or making it up, or even doing their best…….when in reality, only the best will do..:-)

How accurate are the best psychics? How is psychic accuracy even measured in the first place? When a psychic says I’m 90% accurate……is that a fair and accurate assesment, or just a random number they made up that sounds good?
One of the big problems when it comes to psychic accuracy is the way in which RIGHT answers are measured. As a matter of fact, what ONE psychic may say is 100% accurate, another may say is close….and a skeptic may say is NOT right at all.
It’s important only see, call or contact psychics that use reasonable tools to assess how psychic they are, or how accurate the information they come up with truly is. Otherwise, you find yourself having to trust that what a psychic, medium or reader SAYS is true…..truly IS, and unfortunately, that’s rarely the case…:-)
Your best bet? Go with psychics, or readers, or networks that have PROVEN themselves over time, and offer GREAT guarantees that back up their promises, and put their money where they’re mouths are as well. This way, if you find that the performance did NOT measure up to the promise, it’s YOU who gets the last laugh (and your money back to boot!)

Reasons I love phone readings:
1 – Convenience. There is no easier way to get a psychic reading than calling a service, network or individual intuitive you know, respect and trust, and when you need FAST answers to important questions, this is my favorite way of getting them….period!
2 – Comfort: There is nothing better than being able to get a reading without having to fight traffic, sit in a waiting room, or even have to get dressed and go outside at all! If you are a bit of a homebody with your downtime like I am, getting a reading from the comfort of your own home (or couch!) is a big benefit.
The other element of comfort that’s often overlooked is PERSONAL comfort both both you and the reader. There is far less awkwardness when each of you are in different spaces, and in places where you feel mutually “at home”. Meeting ANY “stranger” for the first time in person can be uncomfortable, an in my opinion, the phone is a great filter for getting to know each other, without the interpersonal awkwardness that accompanies ALL relationships that involve private information being discussed.
3 – Cost: Psychic readings by phone cost LESS. I”ve spent more on gas traveling to a personal reading than I have on the whole session with a world class reader on the phone. Most psychic networks and services leverage technology to offer outstanding prices for elite level services, and the truth is…..you simply get FAR more bang for your buck, than seeing a mediocre medium for more money offline and in person.
4 – Quality: Most of my phone readings have been better….and often, by a long shot. While I’ve had my share of bad online or phone readings, I’ve found that by and large they are BETTER and often come with great guarantees you can’t find in person. (many networks will refund your money if you aren’t 100% happy with your reading….something you WON’T find very often one on one or in person)
What do I prefer about going to see a psychic in person?
Personal Contact! There is often a great bond, relationship and rapport building that can happen in person, that is a bit harder to make happen on the phone. (unless you call someone multiple times) I’ve made some GREAT psychic, clairvoyant and intuitive friends from my offline encounters, and many of these people I wouldn’t have met had I stuck to only phone sessions.
At the end of the day…….
For most people , phone readings are a great way to get amazing insight from legitimate psychics at bargain prices….and I highly recommend this approach. That said, making friends and personal relationships are important as well, and if you are really looking to get involved in a community of people who share your passion for the paranormal, going out and making one on one connections is a wonderful way of making that happen!
Is Sylvia Browne a scam artist, or is she genuinely psychic? Does she have genuine psychic ability, or is she really just ripping people off?
There is probably no one psychic who is more controversial, or generates more strong opinions on both sides of the street than Sylvia Browne. And the truth is, while I don’t like to point fingers or name names, I’m NOT a big fan of hers, and think she’s much closer to a professional con artist, than a genuine clairvoyant.
Of course that’s just my opinion…..but I base it on my experiences of watching her do her thing, and compare THAT against the many legitimate experiences I’ve had with honest psychics who DO offer amazing evidence that is hard to dispute.

The investigative report was broadcast on May 8, 2008, and stressed many points made on this site, especially her failure with the Hornbeck reading.Most interesting to me was the brief interview the reporter had with Browne (see picture above). Apparently, he approached her as her assistant was pushing her in her wheelchair from her car to the hotel where she was staying.When the reporter asks Browne if she had anything to say to the parents of Shawn Hornbeck, Browne’s assistant looks to see her reaction to this, and immediately starts wheeling her away as she responds to the interviewer with “No, no.”
