Let me start with a quick confession…….
A love psychic saved my life. Sounds silly, right? It’s true. 10 years ago, I was STUCK like Chuck in a bad relationship with a woman I did not love. (and whom I don’t think truly loved me either) We had been together for close to 10 years…and for some strange reason, neither one of us had the courage, or the gumption to pick up and leave, even though deep down, we both were desperate for a new beginning. We were both smart, successful and college educated professionals…..who also happened to be just going through the motions of unending unhappiness at home..:-)
All of this changed, miraculously….thanks to a love psychic reading that happened by accident. The details aren’t really important, but the outcome of this reading changed BOTH of our lives, in ways that we’ll both always be thankful for.
What happened?
The psychic basically told her that she had someone waiting for her, her soulmate, that was NOT the man she was with. He described this man in great detail, and then…shortly thereafter, described ME as well. (in flattering terms, to be honest…but he insisted that she and I were WRONG for each other and were both desperate for a clean break, even though we pretended to be happy)
All of this was actually on tape…..we listened to the tape together, driving home from that fateful reading…in awkward silence.
The irony was this: The man this well known psychic had described, in very specific detail, was a man we had both JUST met, within a few weeks of this reading. And while I had not given this guy a second thought at the time…..both of us, knew that this HAD to be the person this reader was seeing, sensing and almost IMPLORING her to seek out.
The bottom line….in the interest of time and space is this:
She left me, less than a week after this reading. She married this man…..this stranger, less than 60 days later. Today, they are STILL happily married, living a fairy tale life on the West Coast, with 3 children, a successful business and the BLISS she always wanted and deserved.
Me?
I actually spent quite a bit of time alone thereafter. Believe it or not….I actually felt sorry for myself for quite a while. I went BACK to the same psychic about 6 months after this reading. He hadn’t read me….remember, only her. But he KNEW me immediately, even though we hadn’t met. He described all of the above for me – and told me some absolutely jaw dropping things about myself there was NO way he could have known. He told me, as I was getting ready to leave and was shaking his hand, I would meet the love of my life in 4 years, ALMOST to the day it happened, exactly as he predicted.
The truth is, I used to be a skeptic.
I’ve since learned more amazing things about love, and soul-mates, and the purpose behind our lives, than I ever dreamed possible. I’m not only a big believer in psychic readings, I know, without any equivocation, that there are very special people who can do amazing things.
He and I still speak once a year by phone, and it never ceases to amaze and impress me. (I also still exchange Christmas Cards with my ex- girlfriend, and we now laugh knowingly at this story and share the knowledge that EVERYTHING happens the way it’s supposed to….and that there ARE no accidents…..when you ACTIVELY take part in own KARMA, everything and anything is possible!)
Can psychics predict the lottery? If there are so many self professed psychics out there….why don’t more of them win BIG money in games of chance?
This argument always sort of makes me laugh….as it sort of presupposes that psychic ability is easily channeled in ANY direction one wants. If we’ve learned anything at all about psychic powers over the years, even in those who have AMAZING abilities, it’s that it can be picky, inconsistent and often NOT good when used for blatantly self serving situations. (note famous psychic Edgar Caycee…..who gave UNCANNILY accurate readings for ROYALTY, US Presidents and people from every walk of life…would freeze up, in a trance state when asked by sneaky clients about lottery winnings, horse racing or sporting events….and while he NEVER shied away from making bold and brave predictions, when it came to matters of money, wouldn’t offer his services at all)
BUT – with that being said, here is a pretty good article from popular paranormal blogger (and real life best selling novelist) Michael Prescott, on the connection between psychic abilities and folks who have won the lottery REPEATEDLY, often winning huge jackpots on numerous occassions….while keeping their success strategies a secret. Could it be, that these folks really DO have psychic abilities they are keeping quiet about?
And would the lottery BAN them from playing, if it was discovered to be true? (sort of like what happens in the casinos…..in Las Vegas?) Check out the full article at the link following the excerpt below!
Skeptics sometimes say that if psychic powers were real, people would use them to win the lottery. The usual rejoinder is that maybe psychic powers just don’t work that way. But there’s another possible reply: Maybe some people do use psi to win the lottery, and we just haven’t noticed.Although psi seems to be latent in nearly everyone, it appears to be robust in only a few. So we would expect that only a small number of people would be winning the lottery through the exercise of psychic talents. Moreover, it seems that even people with strong psychic abilities are often unaware of how to use them, or even that they are using them. They may feel vaguely that they use their “intuition” or follow a “hunch” or “just feel it in their gut.” So we would expect that people who win the lottery via psi might not attribute their winnings to anything other than luck.
Speaking of famous psychics and mediums……..
HEREAFTER, the new blockbuster movie on mediums, the afterlife and LIVING life in the moment is finally out……and for many of us who are fascinated NOT so much with whether or not mediums can really speak to the dead or not (they can) but moreso….what life is like for many of the mediums themselves. Is it all fun, games and glory? Or are psychic abilities sometimes a CURSE instead? Check out the short blog post below….on why LIFE, as a medium, isn’t always all that it’s cracked up to be. (and why many silently wish the spirits would go away..:-)
The idea that there are mediums who speak to the dead has been addressed in many movies…..TV shows, and as we all know, lots of books and reality TV. But most of those programs aim to sensationalize, or even TRIVIALIZE what mediums really do…..and as someone who has had close to a hundred really GREAT readings, I find that disappointing. (I’ve also had a thousand BAD ones, in fairness as well…:-)I liked Hereafter, for a whole bunch of reasons. I think it takes a serious look at mundane quality that many mediums share, and NOT the slick, polished and made for TV style salesmen (or women) that we often see portrayed in the media.
Famous mediums, psychics and clairvoyants have done MORE to provide evidence that the afterlife is REAL….and that genuine psychic abilities are true…..and that ordinary people CAN have extraordinary expriences with phenomena that science (and the skeptics) STILL can’t explain than most of us realize.
As a matter of fact……have a genuine psychic reading yourself, and you’ll SEE, first hand what is truly possible. (I know it wasn’t until I had my OWN experience with a genuine medium that i became convinced that something VERY interesting was going on here..:-)
Here is an article on some of the history, and the study of some famous mediums…..check it out at the link following the excerpt, immediately below!
The truth? There is FAR more evidence that mediums (and ordinary people as well) can communicate with the deceased than most people know! Famous mediums in the late 19th century were studied by some of the more serious, and skeptical scientists of that era, including GREAT minds like Sir Alfred Wallace (the co-founder of the theory of evolution), famous philosopher William James, (considered even today, one of the great philosophers in human history) Sir Frederick Meyers (a pioneer in the study of the subconscious mind) and many, many other great minds of the day.

Are online psychic reviews trustworthy?
Can you take….and TRUST the recommendation of psychic reviews, blogs and rating sites, or should you be skeptical of any referrals at all?
The truth?
In my experience, when it comes to picking a psychic service (or individual offline intuitive) there is NO better way to double check than to read reviews, or testimonials of previous callers, clients or visitors. As a matter of fact, I’ve saved thousands of dollars over the years simply by referring to the experience of others BEFORE I’ve hired a reader, simply because I haven’t liked what I’ve read.
But YOU do need to know which reviews to trust…and which ones need to be avoided instead.
For example? EVERY psychic service I recommend, I have at least some affiliate relationship with. This means I get a referral fee for recommending you, or free minutes, or some sort of nod of appreciation from the company or clairvoyant whose services I’ve referred.
If a review does NOT disclose any such relationship…yet sounds too good to be true, it’s a good idea to inquire, or find out more, if you are going to base your call or visit on THEIR recommendation alone. (often checking other peoples write ups or testimonials is sufficient, as even if the review you read was BIASED……all of them certainly won’t be, and you should be able to find corroborating reviews that support the service is worth calling)
So the #1 thing to check for?
HONESTY! Disclosure, like what I’ve covered in the paragraphs above.
On MY psychic websites, and I publish a bunch for both personal and professional research and experience, I always indicate if a psychic I like compensates me in some way for letting YOU know they are good.
You should also be very, very wary of testimonials or reviews that sound SO amazingly impressive….that your intuition tells you they MAY be written by the psychic themselves..:-) (this doesn’t happen often, but I HAVE seen it, especially on smaller blogs and little known sites or services that don’t realize it’s a BIG "no-no" AND makes them look silly to boot..:-)
