Here is why: Most people call (or visit) an intuitive without a clear idea of what they want to know, or hear, or learn. Sure, we have a general sense of where our lives need clarity and focus, and deep down, we ALL know what we want to hear when we speak to someone we think can see our future, put our purpose into perspective and help us find out our fate. But so few people in my experience will PREPARE themselves properly, by writing down their questions, and visualizing the outcomes they truly desire.
It may sound hokey or even controversial to say……but the key to getting the insight and intuitive advice we all seek is to actually get hyper clear on what it is we REALLY want to know. Writing down and visualizing positive outcomes BEFORE a reading has had a tremendous effect on my life for sure, and whether or not it’s real or a placebo, I’ve found that the readings I’ve gotten after starting this process have gotten consistently better to boot! (to where I can honestly say my OWN psychic abilities have grown by leaps and bounds as well)

They just are. And for any number of well documented reasons. But one of the biggest “secrets” is that phone psychics just tend to perform better than readers who you see in person. As a matter of fact, CONTRARY to what most people would expect, in studies done by scientists (and skeptics) who look at psychic functioning, the mediums and clairvoyants who operate by phone alone tend to do MUCH more accurate readings, as judged by the clients, than those done face to face. My feeling is actually very simple: The less background “noise” there is between you and the psychic, the more information is able to come through. (and noise is defined by ANYTHING that can color the rapport between two people in a way that detracts from your intuitive interaction, a much bigger “risk” when meeting someone face to face, than when speaking to them through the filter of a phone!)

One word. Specificity! It’s either there…..or it’s not. A reading that lacks specific information is the biggest red flag for me. And after hundreds and hundreds of readings, both personally and professionally alike, I can honestly tell you that a reading that is general, vague and leading in nature is one that is NOT to be trusted.
Specific signs that a reader is NOT real?
Nebulous, generalized comments that could apply to anyone
A demand for detail from YOU. The truth is, a qualified psychic will want you to say LESS, not more….and a reader who wants you to add or embellish your answers is fishing for information that they can use
Statements of the obvious. This is particularly problematic with readings you’ll get in person, as your body language, physical characteristics, dress, age, and social status can tell MORE about you than you can ever know. (another reason I prefer, and recommend phone readings whenever possible)
Lastly, trust your OWN gut and intuition. A good psychic will make you feel comfortable. If your inner intuition is ringing red alarm bells that something doesn’t feel right during a reading, it probably ISN’T right. (and you should feel free to end the conversation, or walk out of the room as well)

Here are the super simple steps I use to find psychics are GOOD, honest and accurate, and most importantly, right for my needs as well.
- Start by looking for well rated and reviewed readers. (but don’t obsess about reading reviews)
- Set a small budget, and don’t go over it. (but DON’T waste your time looking for 100% free readings as well)
- Set a TIME budget as well. (I prefer readings that are 10-40 minutes max for the first time I speak to a psychic)
- Prepare a short list of questions. I like to write down 5 KEY things I really want to know….and if I can get 3 answers I can really use to those 5 key questions, I’m usually very happy!
Lastly……as above, avoid trying to find free, or completely cost free readings. The advertisements are certainly out there, and there ARE a few psychic services that do offer 5 or 7 minute “test” readings before you have to pay, but by and large the offers and ads for cost free psychics are typically a scam. (and all of us have been taken by this at one time or another on our journey)
