COLD Reading Revealed! 2 Simple Signs that a Psychic Reading is NOT Real (good to know)

Are you a bit concerned about getting a "cold" reading? If you’ve read some of the skeptical articles, manuals and manifestos, they’ll tell you EVERY reading is a cold reading, right? Well, we don’t believe that for sure!

But the truth is, there are some "psychics" who employ common cold reading, or conversational espionage techniques with the hope of LOOKING legitimate, and if you don’t know what they are, the likelihood of falling for them goes UP exponentially! So….let’s take a look, BUT, before we start, it’s a good idea to identify what a "cold reading" means, from a "lingo" standpoint:

Essentially, it refers to the use of common manipulation, the reading of body language, "fishing" for facts, and other very ORDINARY means of gleaning information during a purported "psychic" experience.

Typically? There are about 7 or 8 different things that a cold reader will employ to try to extract information. Here are 2 things you should be VERY wary of when sitting down with a new intuitive:

Asking a lot of LEADING questions…..or questions designed to have you elaborate un-necessarily:

An Awkward Attention to Body Language:

Yes, many fake psychics will do a little body language dance with you.…often mimicking, or trying to measure your movements in an effort to discern what it is that you are ‘REALLY’ saying with your body! (this is a whole science in of itself, and one that some less than noble readers employ to appear more intuitive than they are)

Remember, ANY un-necessary focus, attention or even AFFECTION during a reading is a bad sign. Why? A good psychic, during a genuine or authentic reading, will focus on your energy alone, often with eyes closed or on his or her tools (i.e. - tarot, psychometry, or other process) and NOT on you. Information comes from within you…..but also, as you know if you have some psychic abilities yourself, from WITHOUT as well..:-)

A fake psychic ONLY focuses on trying to glean, gain or grift information through ordinary means….and this is a surefire sign that they are guessing! (and not very good at it, at that!)
